Art is a spiritual process, and creating a work of art is always about relationship. I enjoy searching for these moments within the people and places around me and then by using my life experience and faith elevate them to a place of surreal beauty and visual interest.

I am currently an art student at the University of Kentucky majoring in Art Studio with a minor in Japanese. I am also a full time mother with two children. We are a multicultural Japanese-American family. Exploring multiculturalism and allegory are themes often found within my work.

I have eight years of related work experience in art, as well as a portfolio of various accomplishments, including reference articles, book publications, and some exhibitions.
